Spending time at Kruja Castle was a fantastic way to discover Albania’s rich culture and history. 

Although the castle’s exterior has been well-preserved, it still oozes with the atmosphere of its former grandeur. Every corner of the castle is filled with colors from its gardens, and walking around in these magnificent environments was an incredible experience.

On top of exploring the ruins and ramparts of Kruja Castle, we also got an up-close view of local Albanian life through the old bazaar streets surrounding the castle. It was wonderful to observe how even centuries later, visitors can still absorb that unique medieval charm in every alleyway. 

Finally, we also had some fantastic meals at restaurants and cafes nearby which rounded off our trip perfectly. Overall, if you’re looking for an unforgettable journey back in time, then a visit to Kruja Castle is highly recommended!
